Can I apply for a rental property if I've filed for bankruptcy?

Learn more about how active bankruptcy may affect your rental application.

Unfortunately, if you have filed for/declared bankruptcy in the past seven years, we can't accept your application right now.

Please note this requirement before applying, as application fees are non-refundable.

Because bankruptcy status affects a credit provider's ability to collect a debt, you will not be able to rent until your bankruptcy is discharged and the discharge occurred over seven years from the date of your application.

Once your situation has changed, we would love for you to apply! We will review and consider your application if you have been discharged and there are no remaining balances. Please remember that if we receive other applications without a history of bankruptcy, we may accept these applications instead.
