If you recently applied for a rental property, learn more about if and when your application would expire.
Rental applications expire after 30 days.
If you applied more than 30 days ago, you must submit a new application and pay a new application fee.
If you have an application on file submitted in the last 30 days, even if it was submitted on a different property than the one you are attempting to apply for, you will not need to submit a new application.
However, if you have not applied in the last 30 days, you will be required to complete a new application and pay the application fee.
Why do applications expire?
Because our company pulls credit, reviews background checks, and verifies income for all applicants and co-signers, it's vital that this information be accurate and up-to-date. After time, a person's ability to repay debt can change for several reasons, including:
- Loss or change of employment status.
- Loss of change in income.
- Change in credit score.
- Updated credit history, such as late payments.
While you may know this information has not changed, we must re-verify as a company to do our due diligence.
